Consultation

As with all our treatments, a consultation with a member of our team at Face Medical Clinic is always necessary prior to treatment. Whilst EndyMed FSR can be used to treat a whole host of skin conditions, such as fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, dull complexions, scars and stretch marks, it is imperative our trained aestheticians are able to review conditions to determine if EndyMed FSR is the right treatment for you, and what intensity is required. We are also able to combine EndyMed with a selection of other treatments if needed to ensure maximum effectiveness. At the consultation, your practitioner will be able to guide you through the type of results to expect and provide advice for pre and post treatment skin care, addressing any concerns you may have.

The Procedure

EndyMed FSR procedures can take between 30 minutes and an hour depending on the size of the area requiring treatment. All skin will be treated with a gently numbing cream prior to the procedure to minimize any discomfort. Your practitioner will then mark out a pattern on the skin to act as a guide for the EndyMed technology to aid the practitioner in precision. The treatment itself consists of short bursts of radio frequency technology, which your aesthetician will gently guide across the skin. Radiofrequency is delivered to the skin in two different ways simultaneously, through micro-resurfacing and dermal heating. Micro-resurfacing is used to treat issues on the superficial skin layers of the epidermis, smoothing and brightening the complexion, whilst dermal heating targets deeper skin layers to begin the natural healing process by encouraging the production of collagen. Collagen is an essential component in forming and tightening the skin, which is why it is so important in reversing signs of ageing. This process will continue until the treatment reaches completion. EndyMed FSR is a safe, clinically proven treatment that can be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures to deliverer a natural boost to the skin and rejuvenate from the deepest layer out. EndyMed FSR is personalised to suit your skin’s needs, and generates just the right level of heat to suit your individual skin type. EndyMed FSR is a great option for skin tightening, due to it being pain-free and treatment lasting only an hour, as well as requiring no downtime for recovery, although immediately after treatment, some patients may experience redness and heat in the skin, a result of the beginning of the healing process.

After Care

EndyMed FSR effectively kick-starts natural responses in your body, and while it produces outstanding results, they will not be visible straight away. Collagen levels require some time to build up in the skin, and for that reason, improvements should be evident from a few weeks after the treatment date, with optimal results obvious from three months. Following the procedure, you might experience some redness but this should subside entirely within 48 hours. Your skin might also feel warm and tight, like you have sunburn - but don’t worry! This tends to disappear within a few hours. You should use lukewarm water to cleanse your skin for the first 2 days after treatment and avoid using normal skincare products, particularly any that contain active ingredients. Try to refrain from applying makeup to your skin for at least 48 hours, 72 hours if possible. You should also steer clear of direct sunlight.
