Rosacea

Rosacea is a skin condition that is more common that most people believe, although it can still be a difficult condition to live with. Rosacea mainly affects the facial area, and is characterised by the reddening of the skin. While rosacea usually leaves the sufferer with a flushed appearance, it can also sometimes cause a burning or stinging sensation, permanent redness, pustules in the skin, or lead to blood vessels in the skin becoming visible.

Sufferers of rosacea may find that they can go for periods of time with no symptoms at all, before relapsing and experiencing another outbreak, sometimes due to certain triggers. The cause of rosacea is unknown, and it is a permanent condition that can only be controlled, not cured. Oral medications, facial creams, and, in extreme cases, laser therapy, can be used to treat the appearance of rosacea.

Here at Face Medical Clinic, we offer our clients a solution for handling rosacea. Control Tactics is designed to work into your daily routine and help combat rosacea symptoms, allowing sufferers to to soothe painful flare ups. Containing a special peptide, Control Tactics visibly tones down the red appearance of the skin, while antioxidants form a barrier that protects the skin from external triggers. We can also prescribe a special Gel called Acea, which contains an antibiotic. We also recommend a course of Demalux LED Phototherapy.
