Ultra VPL can be used as a fast, effective and safe treatment for long lasting and permanent hair removal.
Although all hair is different, Ultra VPL has been clinically proven to successfully remove unwanted hair from all parts of the face and body. Variable settings mean that it can effectively used to treat anything from fine facial hair to thick underarm hair.
Completely painless, the Ultra VPL process uses pulses of red light that are absorbed by the melanin in hair. The light absorption produces heat that travels down the hair to destroy the follicle, removing its ability to regenerate. Hundreds of hair follicles are destroyed with each pulse of the hair reduction treatment, making it an easy and effective way to remove unwanted hair.
After consultation to identify your particular hair type, a test patch is used to determine the light setting that best suits your individual features.
Hair in the area to be treated will be trimmed and a cooling gel applied to ensure that the light is used efficiently for maximum results for your hair reduction treatment.
When the Ultra VPL applicator is placed on the area to be treated, your skin will be exposed to a series of light pulses, flashing in rapid succession. The treatment is very fast and can take as little as five minutes altogether!
Treated hair will fall out naturally over a period of one to three weeks and leave your skin looking and feeling smooth and silky. Because of the growth cycle that all hair goes through, several treatments can be required to prevent new growth in the hair reduction treatment area. Your therapist will advise you how many treatments you are likely to need.
